Wordpress Timestamp - Am I Here?
Jun 16th, 2008 by admin

Am I here? Well I am now … but for the last 3 days I’ve been in Zurich enjoying the football at Euro 2008! Yet magically my blog has been updated each day whilst I’ve been gone!

The Wordpress Timestamp feature is just one of the many great things about Wordpress. It allows you to actually make a post at a future time … so as I new I was going away for a long weekend, but wanted to ensure I made a post every day, I wrote three posts in advance before leaving and then set them to post one a day …
It’s easy to do … when you write a Wordpress blog post, go to the timestamp section on the same page (pictured above) and put in the date and time you want the post to actually appear live on your blog … the hit the “Publish” button as normal … that’s all you need to do.
It’s great when you know you’re not going to be around … but it’s also very useful when you’ve got lots of niche blogs as well … I’ll go into that in a bit more detail tomorrow when I’ve had a good sleep and got all of the beer out of my system!
To be fair the Swiss have done a great job hosting Euro 2008, we had a great time … just a huge shame that England weren’t there playing …. AAAAAAAAAGH!
