This post could change the way you choose your keywords forever!
In yesterday’s post you learnt that the competition for a keyword isn’t always what it appears to be!
Well today you’re going to learn how to find and identify low competition keywords in minutes.
So let’s get started …
The single most important on-page optimisation thing that you must do for every page you want to rank well for is …
“Include Your Keywords In Your Page Title”
Your page title carries far more weight than any other part or parts of your page when it comes to search engine rankings. Once you’ve identified the keywords or keyword phrase that you want to rank for, you MUST include them in your Page Title. It’s also good practice to include them in your main Page Header and several times in the content of the page … BUT your Page Title is an absolute must.
When you decide on your Page Title, include the “exact” keyword phrase in it, preferably at the start of the title, and include as fewer other words as possible. Your page title needs to be as targeted to your keyword phrase as possible.
A specific, well targeted page title will see you rank higher than a lot of the “competing pages” very quickly, as a lot won’t have optimised their titles.
Why is your page title so important? Well think about it for a moment. A Page Title is the obvious part of your page to use for indexing or categorising your content, so it’s one of the prime factors used by the search engines.
If you optimise your title, and then get some inbound links from quality sites, with the same keyword phrase used in the anchor text of those links, your pages will rank well.
Ok, so now you understand the power of the Page Title when it comes to ranking, lets go back to how you should analyse keyword phrases you’re about to use to find the number of competing pages.
A lot of people simply do a broad search on the phrase in Google. As a case study, lets use one of my own targeted keywords … How to become incorporated …

In the above screenshot you can see that a search on Google for the phrase How to become incorporated shows over two and half million competing pages. Yet two of my pages are ranked in the top 5 on Google! How did I do that? Through careful keyword research!
Now let’s do an “exact match” search in Google on the same keyword phrase.

The competing number of pages has fallen dramatically in the second screenshot, to just over 5,000 pages. That’s still a lot to rank above if you’re to appear on the first page of Google, which I have!
Right, now for the final Google screenshot … this one is shocking!!

This screenshot shows only 47 competing pages, that’s right, just 47 pages! Only 47 of the 2,540,000 pages competing in the first search actually have the exact keyword phrase “how to become incorporated” in their page titles! As a result of knowing this information, I’ve been able to steal two places on Google’s first page! Better still, this phrase earns me money every day!
So whenever you’re researching the competition for a keyword phrase, always use the “allintitle:” parameter when searching on Google, and preferably use it with the exact match parameter as I have in the final screenshot above. Searching in this way will show you how many other pages really are optimised for your term. Then by targeting your own Page Title, all you have to then do is find some quality inbound links with keyword rich anchor text and you’ll soar up the rankings as I have above!
I’m sure you’ll agree, that the screenshots above are a real eye opener! But what would you say if I now showed you a tool that could identify hundreds of keywords using the “allintitle” parameter in just a few minutes? Are you interested?
Ok, well let me introduce you to Brad Callen’s awesome software, Keyword Elite. I believe it’s the best keyword research tool on the market. It’s far and away my favourite piece of software.

Keyword Elite will quickly find you hundreds of keywords for any niche you can think of. Once you have your keyword list, you can use one of Keyword Elite’s specific functions to analyse competition. Take a look at this Keyword Elite screenshot below.

You can see you have the ability to analyse your list of keywords to see the number of competing sites by “Page Title” and “Exact Match”. Once you’ve selected those criteria, Keyword Elite automatically pulls data on each keyword in your list, reporting the results as follows:

For every keyword you can instantly see from the report how many have your exact keyword phrase in their page title.
But it doesn’t stop there!
You can also see how many searches each phrase receives so that you can decide whether or not it’s worth putting a page together for the traffic it’s like to receive which is awesome data!
But it doesn’t stop there!
You’ll notice that the report also shows you what the top Adwords advertisers are paying per click on their ads, so you can instantly see which keywords you should be targeting to make money from Adsehse!
Keyword Elite has plenty of other functionality as well. But for me, this report alone is worth the purchase price. The information provided is absolutely priceless and a must for any serious internet marketer!
I like the software that much that I’ve written a guide on how to use it to make money fast! The good news is that you can get a copy of my Keyword Elite Master Plan for free when you buy the software through my affiliate link. Click on this Keyword Elite link to see the great reviews my guide has received!

You should always use the “allintitle” search function when assessing a keyword’s true ranking potential, and if you want to automate the process, you really need a copy of Keyword Elite!
