How To Get Hundreds Of Links With Article Marketing and RSS!
Jun 4th, 2008 by admin

So far in this series of posts on Search Engine Optimisation, we’ve covered:
A Systematic Approach To SEO
The Importance Of Keyword Research
The Importance Of Inbound Links
Directory Submissions & Forum Posting
Reciprocal Linking
That brings us to two methods that will definitely get you lots of one way inbound links pointing back to your site, Article Marketing and RSS.
Let’s begin with …
Article Marketing
Article Marketing has long been recognised as a great way to get lots of one way backlinks to your web pages, to help your rankings, and to bring you a steady stream of traffic. For a while, posting the same article to lots of different article directories worked well, but not any more, not for ranking purposes anyway.
That is certainly the case if you use conventional article marketing.
Why, because the search engines recognise the pattern as your articles are distributed. They recognise the same content and anchor text appearing across the directories in a very short space of time … these “duplicate” links will carry very little weight as far as rankings are concerned.
So if mass distribution of your articles doesn’t work, how can article marketing be effective when it comes to seo and search engine rankings?
The answer is simple, and more importantly, not very expensive! It’s simply to use the article distribution services of a site called … SubmitYourArticle.com
When you use SubmitYourArticle.com to distribute your articles, the result is hundreds of “unique” articles are distributed to lots of different article directories.
How does this work?
Well, let me explain … the service limits you to 8 article submissions per month. That’s right, I said “8″ submissions per month. It doesn’t sound a lot, right? With this service it is a lot … IF you do it right!
When you add your “core” article to the site, you’re allowed to add variants to each part of the article before it’s actually submitted to the directories … the more variants you add the better!
You can add variants for the title, each paragraph, the author box and the url link in the author box. The service then mixes and matches the variants to ensure that every individual article directory submission is “Unique” … so your one article becomes hundreds of different articles in just a few minutes … so your “8″ article submissions in a month will provide you with several hundred inbound links each month … containing multiple “anchor texts” and pointing at “different pages” across your site … How Cool Is That?
The service gives your links a more natural appearance without the duplication of traditional article marketing, and of course, as webmasters use your “different” articles on their own sites, the effect is strengthened!
If you put just an hour into each article submission, adding as many unique variants as possible, it’ll be 8 hours well spent each month … over a year you’ll easily create thousands of different backlinks to your web pages and posts!
Your rankings and traffic will soar when you use SubmitYourArticle.com !

Now on to my next backlink strategy …
RSS Feed Submission
By submitting your RSS Feeds to Blog & Feed directories, you can literally create hundreds of one way inbound links to your site overnight!
You can either submit your feeds manually, or you can use a piece of software called “RSS Submit“, there’s a free version and a paid version … I use the paid version because it submits your feeds to a whole lot more directories … and you can submit multiple feeds!
When your feed is listed by a directory, you immediately have a link back to your site. As your feeds are picked up and displayed in Feed Readers on other peoples sites, the links in your posts all show as links back to your web pages! RSS Feed distribution is simply a great way to create links back to your site from directories, and related web sites!
As well as submitting these feeds to the main feed directories using RSS Submit, I also burn my individual feeds at Feedburner.com, and then submit these new feeds to the feed directories as well, again using RSS Submit for maximum exposure. (Note, when you use Feedburner, don’t choose the analyse clickthroughs feature, as this routes the links via Feedburner.com, meaning you lose the direct links back to your posts). Feedburner ping the blog directories when a new post is added to your feeds, increasing your feeds exposure … burning your feeds will increase your number of feed subscribers and is therefore highly recommended … and its free to do!
One final tip on RSS Feeds … create and submit multiple feeds for each blog! As well as a feed for your blog, you can create feeds for each of your tags or blog categories, for example:
Full Blog Feed: http://yourblog.com/feed/
Category Feed: http://yourblog.com/category/category-name/feed/
Tag Feed: http://yourblog.com/tag/tag-name/feed/
Submitting “multiple” feeds to the directories will increase the number of subscribers you get, and will therefore increase the number of backlinks created by your feeds …
In the final part of this series of posts on search engine optimisation, we’ll discuss the “daddy” of all inbound linking strategies … “Blog Commenting” … Don’t Miss It!
