In yesterday’s post I showed you my article marketing strategy for pulling in free targeted traffic.
The strategy included:
- using Keyword Elite to identify target keywords, keywords that will rank well and pull in reasonable traffic
- using Alan Cheng’s free report “Article Marketing Strategies” to write articles quickly that will draw click throughs from the readers
- using SubmitYourArticle.com to distribute hundreds of “unique” articles to lots of different article directories
- using Article Underground’s Announcement blog network to get high page ranking links to my articles
Now this strategy works well, particularly well in tightly focused niche markets outside of the Internet Marketing niche.
Using SubmitYourArticle.com’s services, you can quickly flood a niche with unique, keyword focused articles and achieve some strong highly targeted free traffic.

You’re limited to 8 article submissions per month, but if you put an hour into each article submission, adding as many unique variants as possible, it’ll be 8 hours well spent each month … over a year you’ll easily create thousands of backlinks to your web pages and posts!
When using SubmitYourArticle.com, I strongly recommend that you think of as many “title” and “resource box” variations as possible. Using as many title variations as possible will greatly influence how many different keywords your “one article submission” will rank for.

I use a piece of software called RSS Submit to submit these feeds to all of the top Feed directories with the click of a button … doing this makes it easier for people to find your feeds and subscribe to them … RSS Feeds bring you FREE traffic … so use them, and in particular distribute your feeds to as many sites as possible!
Ideally you’ll create a new EzineArticles.com account for each niche you write in to keep your feed targeted. The same applies to SubmitYourArticle.com, once the niche creates an income you should spend some of it on a new account.
Burning Your Article Directory Feeds
As well as submitting these feeds to the main feed directories, I also burn the individual feeds at Feedburner.com, and then resubmit the new feeds to the feed directories as well using RSS Submit for maximum exposure.
Submitting RSS Feeds from your article directory accounts to the feed directories is a must, because it’s a one time 5 minute exercise to get even more exposure for your articles. Using Feedburner is also a must because they ping various directories every time a new article appears on one of your feeds!
So there you have it, the ultimate strategy for driving traffic via article marketing … join the pro’s and use SubmitYourArticle.com for optimised article marketing, then submit your article directory feeds to even more directories … this really is sexy article marketing on heat!

RSS used to confuse me, but its not that complicated … Wordpress, and now XSitePro 2 automatically produce feeds from your content … all you need to know is the address of your feed … for example my main feed for this site http://www.essentialseotools.com/seoblog/feed … if other web masters looking for content add my URL to their Feed Reader they can display my content on their web pages, or they can simply view it for their own personal interest … obviously the more people that read or display your feed, the more clickthroughs and visitors you’ll get to your site … so as well as displaying the subscribe to my feed icon on your blog or web page, you want to submit the feed url to loads of RSS and Blog directories, so that you increase the number of places where people can find your feed … that’s what I use RSS Submit for, it automatically submits it to 60+ directories where other webmasters looking for content can find it …
As for burning your feeds, your best bet is to go to Feedburner.com and simply register (burn) your feed with them … they have step by step instructions on what to do and explain all of their features really well … but basically they ping every update to your feed to blog directories and increase the exposure of your feed so that you get more subscribers … I hope that helps …
