Article Marketing Strategies That Will Grow Your Traffic
May 6th, 2008 by admin

Article Marketing when done correctly can be a great source of targeted free traffic … and we all like free traffic!
Writing articles that will result in the reader clicking to your site is the key to successful article marketing. Alan Cheng’s “Article Marketing Strategies” shows you how to structure your articles for optimum click throughs, it also gives good advice on where to distribute them to for maximum exposure … it’s well worth a read, and the best news is you can get it FREE without having to join a mailing list to get it, click on the link at the bottom of this post to go to the download page …
How do I get article marketing to work for me?
Firstly I do some keyword research using Keyword Elite. Before you write your article you need to know what keywords to target. Keyword Elite shows you how many pages are competing for each phrase it returns, and also how much traffic the phrase is generating. It’s therefore easy to choose targeted keywords that will bring in steady traffic and easy to rank for.
Secondly I use a service called SubmitYourArticle.com to distribute my articles. This service is excellent, and not that expensive. Here’s why it’s so good …
The Submityourarticles.com service allows you to submit up to 8 articles per month into their distribution system. Only 8? Granted when I first looked at the service I thought the same … “8 is not many” … and that would be true if it were the traditional article distribution service … but it isn’t! What the service allows you to do is add a version of the article, and then add further versions of the title, of the opening paragraph, of your resource box, in fact you add different versions of all parts of the article.
Here’s the clever bit … your single article is then automatically and randomly mixed up using the variants you enter, and unique versions are then distributed to the major article directories. So your one original article becomes hundreds of unique articles with the click of a button! Traditional distribution services just sent the original to all the directories, so all you achieved was duplicate content all over the web!
Granted, at first, I didn’t get the full power of SubmitYourArticle.com, I entered the bare minimum number of variants for each article and submitted it. Now I add as many variants as possible, targeting different keywords in the titles and resource box links. In effect, when I submit 8 articles per month, I’m in reality distributing hundreds of unique keyword focused articles with the click of a button. The best bit is, once you’ve written the original article, adding small variants is quick and easy … in well short of an hour you can complete the submission process, having created 100’s of unique articles across lots of different directories, with multiple differentn anchor test links pointing back to you …
Take a look at the service … it’s by far and away the best article submission service around … SubmitYourArticle.com
Thirdly, I use Article Underground’s high ranking announcement blogs to add posts linking back to my articles to give them additional ranking juice! In particular I point them to my EzineArticle.com articles, as this directory in particular gets good rankings for my articles … (ezinearticles.com is one of the directories distributed to by Submityourarticles.com). The AU Blogs really do boost the Google rankings of articles posted on the main directory sites … just take a look at this article:

This article has achieved over 4000 page views to date … not too bad!
