Keyword Elite is my favourite marketing software, its much more than just a keyword research tool. Yes it can find you thousands of keywords in a couple of minutes, but the secret to success with Keyword Elite is knowing how to use those keywords to make money! :wink:

Owning your own subscriber list is crucial if you want to make a lot of money marketing online. What few people know is that list building is a whole lot easier with Keyword Elite. In fact most people who own Keyword Elite don’t even realise how powerful the software is!

Let me explain the three ways in which Keyword Elite plays a critical role in my list building activities:

1. Title research for free giveaway reports …

Giving your visitor a compelling reason to join your list is crucial to achieving decent opt-in rates. I tend to offer free reports as the incentive for them to give me their email address. As long as the report is closely aligned to the interests and needs of your visitor, your opt-in rates will be boosted.

I use Keyword Elite to research a topic for the report, and for choosing the title for it. Here’s why … when you ask Keyword Elite to find you a couple of thousand keywords related to your broad keyword, you’ll find that a lot of phrases searched on by people tend to be in the form of a “question”.

For example, when people are looking for information on say “keyword research”, a lot of the time they won’t just type “keyword research” in to the search box, they’ll type “how do I do keyword research”, in other words, the phrase is worded as a question.

By analysing the phrases returned, you’ll often discover a number of very closely related questions being searched on, when you do … Bingo! You’ve just found your topic and title for the report.

Using Keyword Elite in this way, you’re identifying a specific need within your niche. By targeting your report at this need and providing the answers being searched for regularly, you can be sure that your free report will be popular with your visitors, and as a result your opt-in rates will be high!

2. Keyword groups for Adwords …

Keyword Elite will group the keyword phrases it returns into smaller sub groups so that you can easily target your Adwords campaigns. You can also upload the keywords from Keyword Elite directly into your Adwords campaign which saves lots of time!

In literally a few minutes you can have thousands of targeted keywords loaded into Adwords campaigns driving traffic to your opt-in pages.

3. Keyword research for Squeeze Pages …

Keyword Elite has the capability to analyse each keyword phrase it finds to determine how much competition there is for it in the search engines. Simply put, it tells you how many web pages contain the phrase and how many searches are done on the phrase each month.

You can quickly sort the results to find keyword phrases that don’t appear on many web pages but do attract lots of traffic! These are the keyword phrases you want to use in the page titles of your “squeeze pages”, because they’ll be easier to rank for in the search engines and bring you free traffic.

You can also target these low competition phrases in your article marketing campaigns, to bring you further traffic.

One thing is for sure, as a Gladiator entering Internet Marketing arena, you need to make sure that the foundations of your business are strong if you’re to win the battle long term.

For example,

- are you dependant on Google for traffic?
- are you dependant on one web site for your profits?
- are you dependant on only one niche?
- do you receive traffic from multiple sources?
- do you have more than one product?
- have you got a list of prospects?

The answers to these questions will determine the long term sustainability of your business. Solid foundations are about reducing the risks to your business. Let’s consider the questions above.

Your Traffic

How many traffic sources do you rely on for visitors? The more sources you put in place, the less vulnerable you are. Many people have relied on Google for traffic, only to see their page rankings tumble overnight or their pay per click campaigns to be slapped with huge amounts per click.

Relying on Google in particular is a very risky strategy due to the constant changes they make to their algorithms and rules. Rely on Google and your business could disappear overnight … trust me, I’ve been there!

Web Sites & Niches

Building multiple sites across several niches is a great way to reduce risk to your longer term profits. Whenever you’re reliant on single sources of income, you’re putting your profits at risk.

Building several sites in one niche will give you a better chance of establishing a larger market share and shield you from the impact of any negative occurrences that may happen to a site, such as ranking drop or poor publicity.

Number of Products

You should always be looking to offer multiple products to protect your business against changes in demand. Developing new products will stimulate new sales in to the future, so that as sales in one product slow, sales in new products compensate.

Having your own products to market and sell will give you greater opportunities to make money, rather than relying on affiliate products. Your own product establishes your credibility in a niche and therefore makes visitors more likely to buy from you and on your recommendations.

Your List

Having your own list of prospects is your core business foundation. Once you’ve established a large list of email addresses, you have an asset that you can profit from time and time again into the future, either with sales of your products or from recommendations for affiliate products.

Building your list should therefore be your primary goal. It’s the cornerstone of your online business. Secure the opt-in and then concentrate on providing value to your subscriber. Value can be in the form of information or recommendations for “quality” products and services. Never recommend inferior products just to make a few fast dollars.

Did you know, if you could apply the simple law of “the power of two” successfully to your list building, you could potentially grow you list to over one million subscribers in just 20 weeks, the power of two is literally that powerful!

I know what you’re thinking … “this guy is crazy, there’s no way anyone could build a list of 1 million subscribers in just 20 weeks … no chance at all!”

Well there is no question that it is a lot to ask, but when you read my example of the “power of two” in action you see that if you can supply just one key ingredient to your list building process, your list will flourish!

If you really want to explode your own lists in just a few months, you’ve got to apply viral marketing tactics that will activate the “power of two”. You’ve got to provide compelling reasons for people to join your list crucially, to tell other people about it (for the power of two to launch into action, you only need your new subscribers to each tell just “two” other people about your list, that’s right just two”.

Ok, so now I’ve got your attention, let’s look at what you’re really here to see, an example of the “power of two” in action:

Let’s assume that you’ve already got a web page published that contains an opt-in box.

I find your page and subscribe to your list. You’ve now got your first sign up. You have a list! Once subscribed, you give me a really compelling reason to tell my friends or my own list about your site. For example you’ve offered me a fantastic free gift in return for me telling others about you.

Your incentive pays off! I tell some of my friends about your site and during the next week, two of them subscribe you your list. Now, after 2 weeks of list building you have a list of 3 subscribers (don’t stop reading just yet, I know three subscribers in just two weeks isn’t too impressive, but it does get better!).

My 2 friends (your new subscribers), are now given the same compelling incentive to find you further subscribers. Finding your offer irresistible, they in turn tell some of their friends about your site and your products. As a result each of them finds you another two subscribers during week three. So at the end of week 3 you now have a list of 7 subscribers! (please stick with me).

This pattern of events repeats for the next 7 weeks. Each new subscriber finds you just 2 more sign-ups during the following week. By week 10 your list has now grown to 511 subscribers (getting more appealing now, but still not a life changing number)

Maybe not, so let’s turn up the heat! If you wait for just another 10 weeks, based on the scenario above repeating each week, by the end of week 20, your list will have grown to 1,048,575 subscribers … if you don’t believe me, get yourself a copy of my Free List Building Riches report to see the full example of the “power of two” …

The power of two, effectively the doubling effect, will take your initial subscriber and turn him into a list of one million subscribers in just 20 weeks, if successfully applied. When you see this example, getting to a million subscribers doesn’t sound so daunting.

The key ingredient is “the compelling reason” you give to your visitors to tell others about your products and pages. When a new subscriber signs up, immediately offer them an incredible free gift. Make sure your gift has real value and is targeted to a need they will have. Create a tremendous feeling of “need” for your gift, and then, only let them have it once they have told their friends about you and your products!

This whole process that allows you to implement the “power of two” can be automated, I’ll show you how in my free report below. Get it right and your list will flourish and multiple like you never thought possible.
