mike liebner article underground

Carrying on my series on marketing “gurus” that have influenced my personal online activities, today it’s Mike Liebner, the owner of Article Underground.

(There are links at the bottom of this post to the other posts in this series)

So why have I selected Mike Liebner? Because he’s more of a “giver” than a marketer, and he keeps things simple!

When you join Mike’s mailing list you not instantly bombarded with promotional emails touting the next greatest product as many marketers do, in fact, it’s very rare he actually sends a promotional email at all. Mike is a giver of information. His messages are full of great tips for getting great search engine rankings and free traffic.

Put it like this … I always open Mike’s messages and read them fully, in fact I look forward to receiving them! Now how many lists do join where you can say the same, not many?

I joined his membership site Article Underground about 18 months ago and it’s a service I highly recommend. Mike has put together a bunch of training videos that are first class with easy to implement tips. He really keeps it simple … his trademark phrase is “Words = Money” … it doesn’t get any simpler than that … if you don’t publish you won’t make any money … some words will make you more than others, but the more you publish the more chances you have to discover the high paying words …

In his more complex teachings, he develops his “words = money” strategy into “words + links = money” … as you can see very complex!

Article Underground provides you with 400 PLR articles each month (restricted to members only) and access to over 30 blogs that members only can post to as many times as they want. The PLR articles are the “words” and the blogs are your “links”.

So all you have to do is publish the articles and post on the blogs with links to the articles, add some adsense blocks and watch the money start to appear. Obviously the articles should be modified a bit before you post them to make them ultra original, but in a year there is no reason why you shouldn’t have between 3,000 to 5,000 pages published earning you adsense revenue, with all you sites getting lots of one way links from decent page ranking blogs … if each page on average only makes you $1 in a year, $3,000 is not a bad return on the membership.

Article Underground, in particular the blog network (they’re great for getting pages ranked), plays a big part in my strategy, as has his teachings … there is a lot of truth in his phrase “words + links = money” … there is always a tendency to try and over complicate seo and internet marketing when in reality seo is simple!

AU is a great site and Mike Liebner is a really genuine guy … long may he offer his services online!

finding blog content

To get lots of traffic to your Blog, you need to post regularly, daily if possible, for at least the first few months. Initally, you’ll find it easy. Writing 20 – 30 articles won’t be difficult, even if you don’t have an interest in the subject of your blog.

But beyond those initial posts, how do you come up with ideas for further content?

Here are some methods I use for my blogs:

Keyword Research

Keyword research can be very inspiring. Using Keyword Elite, I pull together lists of keyword phrases that attract reasonable numbers of searches, but at the same time aren’t too competitive! I then write an article around each keyword phrase, being careful to ensure that the phrase appears in the title of the post and several times in the body.

Using Keyword Elite, you can quickly pull together a list of several hundred phrases to target, each of which will give you a chance of ranking well for and bring visitors to your site.

EzineArticles.com

Ezine Articles is a great site for finding content ideas. The site has a search box where you can enter a keyword and have related articles returned. For my niches outside of Internet Marketing, I usually find two or three articles, take the best tips from each and re-write a new article.

Combining this method with the results of your keyword research above can be a fast vehicle to creating unique, keyword focused content.

Read Other People’s Blogs

I also subscribe to quite a few blogs. When I see a post or review I like, I rewrite it and reference it on my blog (I also use trackbacks and comment on their sites to get inbound links to the page). Other people’s blogs can be a great inspiration for content ideas. Get yourself a feed reader and start subscribing to feeds (starting with mine) … you’ll never be short of ideas again.

PLR Content

Where your blog is specifically targeted at Adsense revenues, PLR Content can be a great source of content. Once you’ve completed your keyword research, match it up with PLR articles. To help get the content ranked in the search engines, simply change the title to incorporate your targeted keyword phrase, rewrite the first paragraph and the last.

There’s lots of PLR content available on the net covering virtually every conceivable niche topic. It’s great blog content, as long as you rewrite at least part of it as I suggest. With no changes it won’t rank as it’s already duplicated elsewhere. I use PLRWholesaler and Article Underground for my source of PLR content.

Re-Writing Your Own Content

I think we all like to believe that people visiting our blogs read all of our content word for word! That simply isn’t true. That’s why you should regularly revisit your own content and quickly re-write it to focus on a different keyword phrase. Similar to re-writing PLR Content, it can be a quick and easy way of producing quality content!

I also recommend carrying a small notebook at all times, so that when you think of a content idea you can note it for future reference.

If you can it’s great practice to have a list of your next 100 post titles in place, so that you can write one after the other and use the timestamp feature to publish them on a daily or twice daily basis.

article underground words equal money

Following on from my last post on “finding content for your blog“, here are a couple more ideas to help you with your content creation.

Great content, or at least unique content is important if you want to rank well and pull in traffic to your blog posts or web pages, but most important of all is to have content! Without content you definitely won’t get any traffic!

In the simple words of marketer Mike Liebner, “Words = Money!” (it’s his logo above taken from his Article Underground site that we’ll be discussing in a minute) … the more posts or web pages you publish, the more chances you have of making money … he preaches that you stop planning and start publishing and I agree … take action … publish content!

Paying For Restricted PLR Content

You should consider buying PLR content. Bought PLR Content is usually restricted with regard to the number of people given access to it so that it literally isn’t duplicated across thousands of sites. I use a great paid service called Article Underground.

It’s quite an expensive service, but you get what you pay for in life. Probably too expensive for new marketers, once you see some cash coming in, you should consider it, you get 350 new articles every month … that’s 350 potential blog posts or web pages. All you need to do is modify them slightly as you post them for uniqueness and watch your blog grow!

But Article Underground gives you lots more than just articles. You also get access to over 30 high ranking blogs that YOU can post on creating great backlinks to your own blogs post and web pages! The AU blogs get your posts indexed quickly and helps your rankings!

The Article Underground blogs are worth the monthly membership fee on their own without the articles, but with the articles as well you have everything you need to start creating niche blogs that have a chance of being indexed highly.

AU is not the only site that provides PLR articles, there are many, but AU provides a full content system that means your content will rank to some degree and bring you traffic.

Blog Commenting

Here is another great way to get ideas for your blog posts. Simply bookmark, or subscribe to the feeds of other high ranking blogs in your niche. When new posts appear on those blogs, write about their posts on your own blog.

A quick review of another blog is an easy way to create instant unique content!

But, here’s the best bit! Once you’ve written about their post on your own blog, leave a comment on their blog post with a link to your post. Tell the author you have reviewed their post. Commenting in this way will bring traffic to your blog, as people who read the other blog will click to yours from the comment you leave. If you comment on high ranking blogs, you should see a steady stream of traffic … you’ll be surprised how much traffic you can generate by simple commenting on other blogs!

This technique is great because:

- you get ideas for your own content
- you get traffic to your blog
- your comments create backlinks to your blog helping your rankings

So go and subscribe to some blogs today and feed off their ideas … you can start with mine!

So now you’ve got even more methods for getting content for your blog even if you have no knowledge of the niche you’ve chosen.

You’d be amazed how my knowledge has developed on subjects I had no knowledge at all on a couple of years ago! What matters is that the niche gets traffic and the keywords pay well on Adsense, or generate sales of affiliate products!

So as Mike Liebner says … “Words = Money” … so go start creating content today for your blogs … more content = more traffic = more earnings!
