kingspoint project

My regular readers will know that I recently joined Keith Baxter’s new membership site the Kingspoint Project. Not only did I join as a member, but I also purchased his Atomic Traffic package for just under $200! The Atomic Package should boost the daily visitors my niche site receives significantly … if it does it will be money well spent as I know I can convert the traffic into cash.

Well last week was week 3 of the case study, and I can report that traffic stayed static, it remained at around 37 visitors per day, compared to the low 20’s before Keith started to implement his traffic tricks!

Interestingly, Keith is using my site as a Case Study on his own site, but you need to be a member to access his updates. What I can tell you is that it was only late last week that he received the outsourced blog posts he’d ordered, and as such they have only just gone live on his blog network. He’s also modified them and posted them on another blog network, plus he’s submitted further videos through a distribution service.

In Keith’s own words … “the traffic is not where he would like it to be, but in a couple more weeks he expects to see it moving on an upwards curve again” … I have no reason to doubt that he knows what he’s doing!

Watch this space to see what happens …

What I would add is that the Kingspoint membership has been enhanced further, in that each month, members will get access to a couple of PLR products, that will come with sales pages, articles etc … in other words ready made sites and products for making money … now imagine if the Atomic package works … you could have access to ready made products with ready made traffic for very little outlay … makes this case study all the more intriguing!

Comment Hunt Review Update

Comment Hunt Review

A few weeks ago I posted about a site and service called Comment Hunt.

Commenthunt.com is a site specialising in finding blogs with “dofollow comments”, meaning that if you comment on those blogs and include your url, the search engines will count your comment as a backlink for ranking purposes. Most blogs use “nofollow comments” meaning that a comment won’t earn you any ranking juice!

Basically when you arrive at the CommentHunt homepage, you type in a keyword in to the search box provided, and it returns related dofollow blogs. The few that I’ve checked out have all indeed been “dofollow” blogs, so it definitely does what it says on the tin!

I recommend you check the site out …

Interestingly, the site also provides a paid commenting service that looks on the face of it to be priced very reasonably … I invested $20 for 100 “dofollow comments” to be made on my behalf using selected keywords as anchor text.

Once their team have finished the commenting exercise, they send you a text file listing the 100 url addresses they’ve commented on and the keyword used as anchor text.

I’ve checked about a third of the urls in the list with mixed results … some I can’t find “my” comment appearing, some appear to be “nofollow” blogs and some are definitely ok (although not always that related) … so my overall opinion?

Would I use them again … probably not … but I would say I’ve got some juice for my $20 so I’m not too unhappy with the service … ratings out of 10 …. 5/10

I think my $50 with the mystery site was better spent on the PR5 link  Interested … take a look here

traffic stats

It’s just over 2 weeks since I joned the Kingspoint Project and bought the Atomic Traffic package.

If you’d like to read the other posts in this series, you can here:

Case Study Introduction
Case Study Week 1

As you can see from the graphic at the top of the post, daily traffic is close to 40 unique visitors, which is up from around 25 at the start of the project. Last weeks traffic stats are below:

web traffic stats

There may have been a very slight increase last week, but no great surge. But to be honest I wasn’t expecting one. I’m very hopeful though that in the next 3 - 4 weeks we will see a more significant increase as the search engines start to index and record all the links etc that Keith’s team are adding each week.

Anyone can create a short term traffic surge, but creating a longer term stream of free traffic is harder, and that is exactly the kind of traffic that the Atomic package is about … so the jury stays out for another few weeks as to what the final traffic stats will look like … But I must say, knowing the strategies that are being used, I am very confident about what will be achieved!

As well as the Atomic package, Keith Baxter has produced 17 excellent traffic videos that are free to access at the Kingspoint Project site … I highly recommend them …

Page Rank 5

So would you like a link to your site coming directly off the homepage of a site with a Page Rank of 5?

I know I do!

And what if I told you it had an Alex ranking of just over 100,000, would that stir your interest?

alexa ranking

I was doing a study of a web page that was ranking No.2 in Google the other night for an affiliate product that I promote. I couldn’t understand how a one page sales page was ranking higher than my page consistently. The only site ranking above it was the actual merchant’s page!

So I opened up SEO Elite and started an analyse of the site’s backlinks … when the software returned it’s results it was suddenly very clear why the site was ranking so well … It had a PR5 backlink, infact it had a bunch of incoming links from the PR5 site!

It had one from the PR5 homepage itself, and also a link from every page on that site! Beyond that it had some links from one forum (around 20 posts) and that was about it … so the PR5 link was providing enough juice for this outstanding ranking!

Now this didn’t surprise me, because I know a PR5 link from a related site is worth a ton of PR1 or PR2 links! How many no one but Google knows, but I think the table at Kenkai.com is probably not far wide of the mark!

For example the table suggests that you would need one PR5 link to achieve a PR3 of your own, but it would take 555 PR1 links to achieve that rank! (other factors such as outbound links and relevancy obviously affect these numbers, but its a good indication)

So I guess the answer to the question above is “YES, I would love a PR5 backlink please!”

Ok, so how much would you pay for a PR5 link directly from the PR5 home page?

Mmmmm … trickier question maybe?

Well you can have one on the site in question for only $50 per annum! Now I think that is a steal … one sale of the affiliate product I’m promoting above would more than recoup that!

So I’m going to invest in a link for definite! (In fact it’s actually a banner advertisement rather than a text link, but a very powerful one) …

If you’d like to know the site offering the link advert, I’ll tell you it if … you sign up for “List Building Riches” above, and forward me your confirmation email … not only will you learn a bunch of stuff from my free ebook, you’ll get the chance to make your best $50 investment online ever!

As for SEO Elite, its another one of Brad Callen’s tools, I used to use it to find link partners, but these days I have enough sources of one way links, so I use it more to find potential JV partners and to analyse the linking strategy of other sites so I can copy them!

If you want to know the PR5 site, get a free copy of LBR and send me an email!

Mark Joyner is a legend when it comes to online marketing, he’s a “guru to the gurus!” I’ve been a member of his excellent Simpleology site for over a year, and it provides me with motivation to succeed literally every day. But more on Simpleology and Mark Joyner in a forthcoming post.

This post is to let you know about a top blogging resource you can get from Mark’s site for free, well its free at the moment anyway!

I’ve just gotten a copy of the multi-media course on blogging produced by Mark’s guys at Simpleology.

The good news is, that or a while, they’re letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog just as I have here!

It covers:

  • The best blogging techniques.
  • How to get traffic to your blog.
  • How to turn your blog into money.

I’ll let you know what I think once I’ve had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it’s still free, based on the other materials I’ve read by Mark Joyner, I have no doubts that it will be excellent.

And if by chance you don’t find it useful as a blogging resource (you will), think about how you can employ this method of viral marketing yourself … it really is an awsome use of other peoples blogs!

web traffic stats

It’s just over a week since I signed up to Keith Baxter’s Kingspoint Project Atomic package, to see just how much additional traffic he could drive to one of my sites. To read my first post in this case study series click here

Firstly let’s compare stats at the start of the project with stats at the end of the first week.

Below are the stats for the week BEFORE I signed up to the atomic package:

incorporate my business stats

For the 5 days where I had stats set up (for some reason the host resets them periodically!), the average daily traffic was 23 visitors. Now the screenshot at the top of this post is for last week (the first week of the project) … if we average visitors over Mon - Friday to be consistent, the average daily traffic is … 36!

So in the first week, traffic is up by an average of 60%!

Is it just coincidence? Well I guess we’ll find that out next week when I publish the stats …

So what has Keith and his team been doing this week?

Well I know they’ve done a bunch of keyword research to find keywords that might bring some traffic in, and they’ve outsourced the writing of some content to be posted on a blog network they use. They’ve also made a short video and submitted it to video sites using a submission service called Traffic Geyser …

Indications are that traffic is moving in the right direction … I’m pretty sure it will continue to because a lot of the techniques they’re using or will be using are solid methods that I use or would use if I had the time … that’s what attracted me to the project …

Anyway, I can’t wait to see what the next few weeks traffic stats do …

I really recommend that you take a look at Keith’s site … as a free member you get to see 17 videos he’s put together on traffic methods that he’s moulded into a 7 week system … a step by step approach that he discloses to everyone including free members. To take a look at the 17 videos and the Atomic package, take a look at the Kingspoint Project.

An ebook directory is a website that accepts ebook listings, very much like an article or ezine directory. It’s a simple way to drive free traffic! Most of these ebook directories are high traffic sites generating thousands of ebook downloads.

Unfortunately, you can’t build a list directly from these downloads. The rules of most directory sites are that you upload your free ebook and anyone can download it without having to opt-in to any lists etc.

So how do you use these ebook directory sites to drive traffic and indirectly build your list?

Well the ebooks you upload need to achieve two things:

- they need to be valuable enough that your reader is impressed
- they need to include links to missing information that can only be found on your site

So if you’ve already got a free ebook that you give away to build your list, you could take a piece of key information out of it, and replace it with a link to the squeeze page of the full version. Then upload the shortened version.

To be fully effective, you need to include plenty of links back to your site, to your squeeze pages in particular!

These free ebook directories are also a great place to upload all the PLR products to that you buy or find for free. All you need to do is possibly give them a new cover and title to make them unique, then add plenty of links to your squeeze pages in the text and upload them.

It really is a similar concept to article marketing, only you’re promoting a full ebook instead of an article!

Below are a few ebook directory sites that you can start uploading to straight away.

Willie Crawford Internet Marketing Guru

So marketer number 6 in my list of 7 internet marketing gurus that have influenced my personal marketing methods to date.

I’ve chosen Willie Crawford, because I’ve been on his list for longer than any other marketing list I’ve ever subscribed to, virtually since the day Corey introduced me to Internet Marketing.

Why have I stayed on his list?

Simply because he offers lots of good information in his emails, whether it be tips or links to free resources, he gives a lot of material away that is of value to fellow marketers …

You have to admire Willie to, the huge subscriber lists he’s built are incredible, the money he makes from selling short $7 reports is quite remarkable … I’ve learnt a lot of great tips and techniques from his newsletters over the years … it’s very rare I don’t open one of his emails when they arrive in my inbox …

So that’s why he’s included in my top 7 marketers … you to can join his mailing list at www.williecrawford.com …

Here are the previous 5 posts in the series … hope you enjoy them …

- how Corey Rudl introduced me to marketing online and it’s endless possibilities
- how Brad Callen’s SEO Course and Keyword Elite software got me started publishing
- how Martin Franzen taught me the ultimate marketing model
- how Mike Liebner has influenced my SEO tactics
- how Chris McNeeny influenced my Affiliate Marketing techniques

I wonder how many sites get published every day by small business owners who have no idea about the existence of search engine optimisation, let alone what it means :?:

I’m amazed by how many small business web sites I come across that have had no seo done on them at all … thinking about it I’m not sure how I come across them at all :???:

Most small business owners think “oh, I really should have a web site” … they then have a go at basic web design themselves or spend several hundeds of dollars getting one designed, only to find it looks great but generates them no sales! They’d be better spending less on design and more on seo services …

Simple things like page title are missing or just say “home” (that’ll rank well!) … there must be a huge market out there for basic seo services …

For example, look at the seo case study I did back in March … my friend who has moved out to France designed a web site for his holiday cottage in France and did no SEO … he was really proud of the site … to be fair he thought about his keywords when he bought a domain name, www.french-holidays-aude.com … but that it was it … not surprisingly it sat on page 50+ of Google until I did some seo work for him, now, 4 months or so later he still sits at No.3 in Google …

seo case study google page one

I started thinking about small business web sites whilst thinking about Keith Baxter’s new site, the Kingspoint Project … imagine how many small business owners could benefit from spending $197 with Keith to get free traffic from the search engines … how many sales could they drive from that outlay … more than the cost of the seo work I’d bet … and the traffic would keep coming for months after …

I guess I should start charging $297 for SEO work and spend £197 with Keith to get it done and pocket the $100 for a couple of emails  I must put some more thought into this … maybe I should set a small business website up offering my services, then spend $197 with Keith myself to bring in traffic, and then sell them a service I outsource to Keith’s team … I like it!

If you haven’t taken a look at Keith’s site, I really, really recommend that you do … if just to take in his 17 free traffic videos! His “paid” services are the most exciting I’ve seen for a long time, and I can’t wait to see the results of my investment (I will post an update on that over the weekend) …. go visit his site and see for yourself … the Kingspoint Project.

Anyway … I’m off to think about my new small business venture … yet another sleepless night ahead!

I noticed when doing some keyword research, that “top 100 keywords” is a popular search query … so I thought I’d do a post on it!

For those of you keen to know what the current top 100 keywords are, here’s a list of the top one hundred searched on phrases from the last 113 days courtesy of Wordtracker …

I don’t normally use Wordtracker for my serious keyword research, I always use Keyword Elite, i
